  My husband and I had a marvelous stay at Farmer's Guest House. The room was beautifully decorated and I loved the morning sunshine spilling into the room. Breakfast was excellent and WineTime was a delightful surprise. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The lunch and dinner recommendations were wonderful. Can't wait to return for a visit!

  My husband and I stayed in Galena for a quick weekend getaway. Farmers Guest House and Don and Susan were amazing. They are very accommodating. We were a little concerned because I have a dairy and gluten intolerance and my husband has a citrus allergy. Susan was more than accommodating with these restrictions. She greeted us on our first day with gluten free cookies and had gluten free crackers for me during wine time. She made gluten free breakfast and pastries for me each morning. She bought us Neutrogena soap, rather than using the lemon soap that is routinely provided. We were incredibly impressed with her and Don's care.
  
  Breakfast was amazing - the food was delicious, the pastries were incredibly, and there were even mimosas. It was very relaxing. At 5:00 each night there is wine hour for all of the guests. This was a nice way to connect with people and hear about the town. On our first night, we were surprised to learn that we would have trouble making dinner reservations for the following evening. Susan was quick to pick up the phone and pull a few strings for us.
  
  Overall we highly, highly recommend Farmers Guest House. We have already booked our next weekend getaway here. You will not regret your decision to stay here.
